Rogerio is a Structural Economic Geologist with over 40 years of global mineral exploration experience. He served as Chief Structural Geologist for Vale’s Global Exploration from 2007 to 2012, after joining Inco/Vale in 1997, and contributed to major exploration and mine-scale programs worldwide. He has pioneered tools and methodologies to optimize mineral discovery and improve structural data reliability, including the ML-Compass, vKore® 3D Core Scanner, Ore.node®, and vSTAR® – an augmented-reality structural reader. Together with the Vektore team, he developed Structural Vectoring®, Structural Quality Optimization™, and TA™. In 2012, he founded Vektore®, integrating structural geology with advanced digital technologies. He later served as the Richard W. Hutchinson Visiting Industrial Professor at Western University (2013–2016). Currently, he leads technology development and works globally with exploration and mining companies to improve the quality of structural data and decision-making.
