Artur Braga

Senior Structural Geologist

Artur earned his bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Brasília (UnB), Brazil, in 2011. He began his professional career in 2012 at Yamana Gold, gaining extensive experience with various mineral deposit types, including porphyry Cu-Au, epithermal gold, orogenic gold, and modified paleoplacer gold (Witwatersrand-type). Since 2014, he has specialized in structural geology, focusing on target exploration through oriented drill core and structural data extraction, processing, and analysis to assess structural controls and guide drilling. Over three years, he led the implementation and optimization of these techniques at the Jacobina Gold Deposit, leveraging the Ore.node software. Currently pursuing a master’s degree, Artur is conducting research on the highly deformed Chapada Cu-Au porphyry deposit in Brazil. His work involves structural analysis and mineralogical studies to advance the understanding of the deposit’s formation and deformation processes.
